These replies were so overwhelming that I could only reply right now, a week later! Hee.
Michael’s voice-over totally had me thinking that he was gonna be the leading character and that his narrative voice would be a general motto.
I thought so too. I certainly didn't want him to be the lead character and I was torn on the voice over. I wasn't sure if it would've gotten predictable and repetitive or if it would've added insight. On the other hand, I think that you would've needed better writers who understand continuity to pull that off so I'm glad that they didn't continue that way. It also allowed them to begin the episode anyway they wanted and not constrained to the voice over.
What did it for Brian? The checkered shirt? The boyish sneakers?
LOL! I know. I mean, he just didn't seem like Justin's type and Brian never picked up someone fitting Justin's type throughout the entire series except in season three because he was missing Justin but other than that ... no one. So, what was the draw? Innocence? Perfect timing under that streetlight? The way that Justin's body kind of stretched out against that post all ready and willing? I leave it to fandom to fulfill my questions with fanfic.
And wow, I am squealing and flailing and generally embarrassed for Justin every time when he starts babbling nonsense.
AFDL;JASDF I KNOW! I WAS TOO!
Also, is there anything else implied? Did the gym teacher and Brian fuck? And the “But I don’t remember anymore.”? Is that scarred little Brian speaking? *weeps for his innocence*
I don't think that they fucked but Brian must've been dismissed immediately. Maybe he tried for some kind of tenderness or loving gesture from the gym teacher and Brian didn't receive it. That was his introduction to sex and it just kind of stuck with him. I think that that was young Brian talking when he said "but I don't remember anymore" because he doesn't want to, because it was a bad experience for him. Who knows.
WHAT? I never noticed that, omg!
Go back and look! Did you??
Omg, you did an excellent job! Better than me with the commentary. I was doing a run down. I'll copy you more next time.
