Valentine's Day Secret Admirer Extravaganza 2011!

It is that time of year again and it's time to submit your anonymous Valentine's for 2011. This year, I'm kicking it up another notch and opening this to IJ users! It's something that actually didn't occur to me until this year since this event has solely been on LJ for a number of years but IJ users are more than welcome to participate!

In case you don't know what this is then here are some basic rules:

• Let someone know (anonymously) that you admire them, secretly stalk them like them, miss their stories, love their stories, love their art, etc. The possibilities are endless. It's a really nice thing to wake up to on the morning of the 14th.

• Send as many messages as you want to whomever you want. This is about spreading the love, you guys.

• Please try to send your submissions already HTML coded! This is how you code for a LiveJournal Username: [lj user="username here"] just exchange the [ ] for < >. And if you know basic HTML coding, go for it! Try not to do it using Word because sometimes the coding doesn't transfer over. I'd suggest using Notepad.

• All submissions will be e-mailed here: amelia.lourdes@gmail.com

• The submission deadline is: MIDNIGHT, FEBRUARY 11TH, 2011. This gives me the weekend to work on them.

• ENTRIES WILL BE POSTED ON FEBRUARY 14TH, 2011.

• Questions, comments, suggestions, and contributions welcome! ♥

amelialourdes: Please buy me lunch tomorrow.

Please give another example of how to use HTML The [l] in your example - is it literally an 'l' in brackets?
Last year, the little emoticons I included didn't come through in the final posts. Is there a way to include them?

No, there shouldn't be an "i" in the brackets unless you're italicizing. Hmm. I'll get back to you on those emoticons! Honestly, I have no idea how to put them in LJ form, ha. But, I'll get back to you on that one so that they show up this year. Last year I had a lot of technical errors so I'm giving myself plenty of time this year so that that doesn't happen again. :)

This is such a lovely idea! I was just wondering, do you want the submissions to be in an email or as a Notepad document? And if it's an email, do you want it typed out in Notepad first and the copied-and-pasted into the email?

So sorry I haven't gotten back to you on this! To answer your question, it can be copied in an e-mail or it could be attached as a Notepad document. It's up to you! Whatever you're comfortable with. The HTML doesn't transfer over through an e-mail so I should be able to copy and paste it just fine.

I'm so busy that I don't think I'll have time for this. I couldn't even read your last chapter yet or watch shows and I'm so tired that I'm going to bed early today. Besides that I'd feel bad mentioning some people and not others so it'd be unfair.. (and probably I'd not do it correctly anyway).. just explaining because I feel bad for not participating.
